KENTE WEAVINGS:
The origin of Kente weaving in Ghana stated from Asante Region in a town called Bonwire where the ACYUF Foundation paid a visit to explore and know how it all came about and also to impact more knowledge about Kente weaving into the youth are willing to learn from our workshop.
According to history this whole idea of weaving was derived from a spider weaving it web. Kente cloth is a significant Ghanaian tradition name giving to it for a worldwide recognition. The cloth is also high in demand patronage and respected when one wears it to a function both in Ghana and abroad.
We are looking forward for finance and support to help train more youth in the community and also produce large quantities for sales and exports. |
