ABOUT US:
African Consciousness Youth Uprising Foundation (A.C.Y.U.F / NGO is a registered non but profit making organization (Limited Liability Company). Which seeks to train, transform the lives of people, (Orphans & Non Orphans) through Education, Skill Training, Social and Cultural Training, Water and Waste Management, and after awards them (Youth) with A.C.Y.U.F / NGO Certificates.

Some of these trainings will be organized in Schools, Humanitarian Centers, Orphanage Homes, Refugees Camps, Assembly Halls, Churches and other Social Gathering Places.

  1. Our vision is to build a Pan-African School where African Cultures and Values will be taught.

  2. Our Mission is to train, transform the lives of people through education, skills training, social and cultural training, water & waste management, and after awards the youth A.C.Y.U.F / NGO Certificates.

  3. One of our mission is to create room for self-employment (Entrepreneurship) and also solve the problems of unemployment in Africa and the less deprived ones in society. A.C.Y.U.F / NGO organization vision started when the founder and visionary behind this concept was in his final year in Benkum Senior High School in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The ACYUF community shares the vision of the founder/director;

Mr. Derick Darkwah to establish a good will / good reputation for skills training and transforming lives of people throughout Africa and motivated by dedicated and visionary leaders with ethical values which will translate into national development.

The vision of the organization was supported physically and financially by;

He assist the founder/director and has contributed very tremendously to the development in setting up the foundation.

Deputy Assistant Director (A.C.Y.U.F)
He assist director and has also help in contributing to the development of the foundation.

Dennis Asirifi Darkwah
General Production Manager (A.C.Y.U.F)
He heads the production and filed department and also consistence in supporting the foundation since day one.

Nana Yaw Mensah Nyamekye.
Director Creative Arts / Graphic Designing (A.C.Y.U.F)
He heads the creative department and in-charge of all graphic artworks (eg; A.C.Y.U.F logo, website and major publicity works in the foundation.

Khadijah Ameley Armah
Secretary (A.C.Y.U.F)
She is the general secretary and also contributed to development in setting up the foundation.


OBJECTIVES:

  1. Our objectives are to gain entry into African Worlds of creative arts, culture, tourism and a good reputation in education and skills training.

  2. To consolidate the brand logo and name of A.C.Y.U.F by providing high quality of goods and services in the Ecowas sub region and the world.

  3. It also our mission that Africa and the whole world will benefit from this educational projects and will reduce high rate of unemployment, transfer of talents, creative arts, technical know-how and other social and cultural behaviors. This organization will fulfill it’s mission through the support of government, ngo’s, philanthropist, individuals, partners and other financial institutions.

 

FINANCING:
The founder and the friends of the organization have invested so much into the beginning of the setting up of the organization and therefore we are calling on the United Nations, The Arab World, World Bank, IMF, Companies, Partners, Financial Institutions, Philanthropists, NGO’s, Individuals, Benevolent Organizations to come to our aid either by cash or by kind or by any means so that we can run our mission.

Our main source of income is through donations, sale of goods and services rendered personal contributions and subscriptions.

Since our organizations includes an Orphanage Home, Junior and Senior High Education, Technical Training, Vocational Training, Tertiary Education (Pan-African University) where African Cultures and Values will be taught. So our estimated volume of land required for this educational projects is about 300 acres of land or more.

COMPANY’S PROFILE (A.C.Y.U.F/NGO)
African Consciousness Youth Uprising Foundation has been incorporated under the company code, 1963 (ACT 179) hence the liability of its members are limited by shares (Limited Liability Company).

The income and property of the organization or company when so derived shall be applied towards the promotion of the object of the company or organization as set forth in the immediate proceeding regulation and some portion thereof shall paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividend, bonus or profit.

The company as a separate identity to that of it’s owners/executives. It can bought and can be sold as whole or in part, go bankrupt without it’s owners or executives suffering the same fate; have legal documents signed on it’s behalf by a formal constitution set out in the memorandum and articles of incorporation.

The memorandum defines the company’s relationship with the outside world and it includes set of clauses such as name, registered office, location, objects and so on. The articles of incorporation are the internal constitution laying down how directors are elected and removed as mention in section 184 of the code and determines the duties of share holders and directors.

The advantage is that the liabilities of owners or directors are limited. They only stand to lose at worst the amount of money they have invested in the company. The disadvantage is that the company is subject to the regulations of the company’s code.


HISTORY, ACHIEVEMENTS AND FUTURE PLANS

1. AFRICAN CONSCIOUSNESS YOUTH UPRISING FOUNDA TION: Have been able to train some youth in the community and its environs with skills training in Basketry Weavings, Kente Weavings, Paintings, Carvings, Beads Making, Soap Making, Fashion Designs, Sculptures, Batiks, Tie & Die and many more.

(i). Our organization have pave way for young and upcoming entrepreneurs to emerge as we help promotes self -employment.

(ii). We have also help government by reducing the unemployment burden.

(iii). We have been able to awards Acyuf entrepreneurship Certificates to the youth after skills training, our training project promote Specialization of labour (Skilled labour).

iv). Due to the nature of the organization, it promotes tourism, this will help attracts foreign exchange and it will translate into national development as we contribute our quota.

v). We have been able to consolidate our brand name trademark and logo in Ghana and the West African sub-region, and gain a good reputation in skills training.

FUTURE PLANS OF ACTUF NGO >>>>>>>
i). We are Anticipating that in the future we will manage an Orphanage home, a Junior and Senior Education, Tertiary Education (PAN-AFRICAN UNIVERSITY) Where Africans Cultures value will be taught.

ii). We are also anticipating that we will get a vast land for this educational and skills
training project which estimated land, for the project is about 300 acres of land or more where we will have, Dormitories, Classroom blocks, Dining hall, Teacher's bungalows, Park, Administration block a Reserved forest for Carbon Skin/ emissions, land for Animal husbandry/Research and grazing, Portion of land for Agricultural Activities, like mixed farming including poultry, fish, Live stocks and farm produce.

iii). it’s our plan to support the youth, women and children Orphans, and non-orphans, widows, vulnerables, and the less deprived ones in society by way of Providing skills training, and by way of charity (Donations)

iv). We are also Anticipating that in the future our Certificate will be accredited and be affiliated to maybe City & Guilds UK, NV TI , GHANA TVE T or be accepted in the west African Sub region.


EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The company executive council also know as board of directors of the organization and the powers of the executive council are limited in accordance with section 202 of the code.

  1. The board of directors of this organization is a ten (10) or more member’s board of directors and the liability of the members is limited by guarantee.
  2. If each member of the organization under takes to contributes to the assets of the organization, in the events of it’s being wound up, whiles up he is a member or within one year after he/she ceases to be a member for payment of debts and liabilities of the organization and the cost of winding up such amount as may be required not exceeding GHs1,000.00 One Thousand Cedis.
  3. No member of the executive council of the NGO shall be appointed any salary of office of the NGO or office of the paid by fees.
  4. At all meetings of the executive council, the chairman or in his absence the vice chairman if present shall be the chairman.
  5. The executive council shall cause proper books of account to be kept, an income and expenditure account and a balance sheet to be prepared, audited and circulated in accordance with section 123 to a33 of the code.
  6. The executive council shall employed qualified auditors in accordance with section 296 of the code, shall be appointed and their duties regulated in accordance with section 134 to 136 of the code.
  7. The persons referred to in section 182 of the code shall not be competent to be appointed members of the executive council.
